There are eight wildfires of note in the Forest Protection Area of Alberta.
Eagle Complex (WWF-023, GWF-027, GWF-040)
- Wildfires WWF-023, GWF-027 and GWF-040 are part of the Eagle Complex and being managed together.
- Wildfire WWF-023 is located near Fox Creek and Little Smoky. It is classified as out of control at 66,443 hectares.
- Wildfire GWF-027 is located in the M.D. Greenview and is classified as out of control at 54,988 hectares.
- Wildfire GWF-040 is under control at 1.3 hectares.
- There are firefighters, helicopters and heavy equipment working on this complex.
Grizzly Complex (SWF-057, SWF-063, SWF-064, SWF-095)
- Wildfires SWF-057, SWF-063, SWF-064 and SWF-095 are part of the Grizzly Complex and being managed together.
- Wildfire SWF-057 is located about 26 km south of Kinuso and 30 km southwest of Slave Lake. It is classified as being held at 16,728 ha.
- Wildfire SWF-063 is located 7 km south of High Prairie and 16 km northwest of Swan Hills. It is near the East Prairie Metis Settlement. It is out of control at 123,670 ha.
- Wildfire SWF-064 is located over 40 km northwest of Swan Hills, is classified as out of control and has burned 40,060 ha.
- Wildfire SWF095 is located southeast of the hamlet of Sweathouse. It is out of control at 8,500 ha.

Kimiwan Complex (PWF-038, SWF-068)
- Wildfires PWF-038 and SWF-068 are part of the Kimiwan Complex and being managed together.
- Wildfire SWF-068 is located approximately 6 km northwest of Peavine Metis Settlement. It is classified as out of control at 132,316 hectares.
- PWF-038 is located near Three Creeks and Simon Lake. It is classified as under control at approximately 6,130 hectares.
- There are firefighters, helicopters and heavy equipment working on this complex.
Long Lake Complex (HWF-036, HWF-058, HWF-064)
- Wildfires HWF-036, HWF-058 and HWF-064 are part of the Long Lake Complex and being managed together.
- Wildfire HWF-036 is located near the communities of Rainbow Lake and Chateh. It is classified as out of control at 165,400 hectares.
- Wildfire HWF-058 is located approximately 80 km southwest of the Town of High Level. It is classified as out of control at 21,356 hectares.
- Wildfire HWF-064 is located approximately 10 km northwest of Zama City. It is classified as out of control at 4,689 hectares.
- There are firefighters, helicopters and heavy equipment working on this complex.
Pembina Wildfire Complex (EWF-031, RWF-034, RWF-040)
- Wildfires EWF-031, RWF-034 and RWF-040 are part of the Pembina Wildfire Complex and being managed together.
- Wildfire EWF-031 is located approximately 1.5 km southeast of Edson, 5 km northwest of Brazeau Dam and 18 km west of Lodgepole. It is still classified as out of control at 204,318 hectares.
- Wildfire RWF-034 is located near the O’Chiese Reserve. It is classified as out of control at 87,492 hectares.
- Wildfire RWF-040 is located near Forestry Trunk Road and Brown Creek Provincial Recreational Area. It is classified as out of control at 5,089 hectares.
- There are firefighters, helicopters and heavy equipment working on this complex.
HWF-030 (Paskwa fire)
- This wildfire is located in the community of Fox Lake. It is classified as out of control at 96,582 hectares.

MWF-025 (Rocky River Fire)
- This wildfire is located approximately 7 km north of Fort Chipewyan and is classified as being held at 60,568 hectares.
- There are firefighters, helicopters and airtankers working on this wildfire.
SWF-081 (Carrot Lake Fire)
- This wildfire is located near Chipewyan Lake. It is classified as being held at 34,357 hectares.
