Warm, dry, windy conditions continue today; we will see a wind speed of 20 km/h with gusts up to 45km/h. The weather conditions, combining with large areas of dead, dry grass, result in a high wildfire danger in the Whitecourt Forest Area.
Please consider postponing all non-essential burning until conditions improve. If you have a fire permit, please follow the conditions on the permit.
When out working or recreating in forested areas, please take the necessary precautions to prevent a wildfire.
