WILDFIRE DANGER
The wildfire danger remains at high for the Whitecourt Forest Area. Today, the wind will be west in direction at 20 km/h, with a high probability of lightning.
Smoke may drift into the area from a wildfire burning in the Edson Forest Area, EWF-077 is burning out of control at 1,270 ha in size, read more about this wildfire here. If you have smoke-related health concerns, please call Health Link at 811, or visit myhealth.alberta.ca.
Please remember, the conditions on a fire permit state you can not burn when wind speeds exceed 12 km/h.

Whitecourt Forest Area
- In the last 24 hours, there have been zero wildfires in the Whitecourt Forest Area.
- Since March 1, 2018, there have been 44 wildfires; with a total area burnt of 12.29 hectares.

- Never leave your campfire unattended, and when finished, soak it, stir it, and soak it again. Learn more.

FIRE PERMITS ARE REQUIRED
Free fire permits are required for any burning (except campfires) within the Forest Protection Area of Alberta.
