FIRE PREMITS ARE REQUIRED

You need a fire permit for any burning in the Forest Protection Area, with the exception of campfires, until October 31. Fire permits ensure safe burning practices and helps our staff monitor approved burning locations, allowing firefighters and aircraft to focus on wildfires. Please check with your local municipality for any additional rules or restrictions before any burning takes place. Fire permits are free and can be requested online or by contacting the Whitecourt Forest Area at 780-778-7153
