SAFE CAMPFIRES
Never leave your campfire unattended and ensure it is properly extinguished when you are done with it. Soak it, stir it and soak it again until the ashes are cool to the touch. If you are planning on camping this long weekend, remember to put out your campfire when you are done.
If you are using an off-highway vehicle this weekend, remember to stop often and check hot spots. Places like the engine, exhaust and muffler can build up debris. This debris can heat up on your machine, smoulder and ignite an inadvertent wildfire. Be sure to stop often and check hot spots.
