The wildfire hazard is MODERATE for the weekend.
The forecast is for warm temperatures, scattered showers, high lightning potential and strong winds this weekend.
We had one new fire this week, started by lightning. So far this season we've had 102 wildfires. There are currently no wildfires in our area.
We have ten crews, one helicopter and the airtankers on hand to fight any new wildfires.
Thanks for doing your part to prevent wildfire this weekend. Remember that quads are the number one cause of human caused fires in our area. If you're out riding, take time to stop and clear debris from your machines. Your help in protecting Alberta's forests is appreciated.
