The wildfire hazard is MODERATE for the Lac La Biche forest area.
Lighter winds have helped downgrade the wildfire hazard to Moderate.
We have four crews and three helicopters on hand to action any new wildfires today.
As we get further into fall, the green grass in meadows and ditches will dry out and become a hazard, much like the grass hazard we experience in the Spring. Please be mindful if you're operating quads or other OHVs in grassy areas. Take the time to stop and clean grass and other burnable debris from your machine's hotspots.
