A fire advisory is in effect for the High Level Wildfire Management Area due to the High wildfire hazard. Existing fire permits continue to be suspended and new fire permits will not be issued. Safe campfires are permitted, but may be restricted in the coming days if conditions worsen.

Please check Albertafirebans.ca for more information or call 1-866-FYI-FIRE.

FIRE PERMITS

With significant rain fall on the west side of the HLWMA fire permits for areas west of the sixth meridian are available. All other areas within the HLWMA are still under permit suspension because rainfall amounts have not been significant enough to reduce the wildfire hazard in these areas.

For permit requests please call 780-926-5407.
