EWF-077 - June 27th, 2018 @ 1400. Approx 15 kilometers south east of Hinton, AB. Taken by Airtanker Group on site.
High winds and no precipitation is driving the wildfire danger up to Very High. We would like to remind everyone to use extreme caution when having a campfire. Sparks can land in dry debris and start a wildfire. Always ensure you have water accessible and never leave your fire unattended.
A reminder to follow the conditions of your permit if burning.
BURN IT WITH A PERMIT
Fire permits are required for any burning (except campfires) in the Forest Protection Area (FPA) of Alberta. Contact your local Agriculture and Forestry office to schedule a site visit to obtain a free permit. Fire permits ensure safe burning practices and allow staff to know where burning is approved so firefighters and aircraft are free to fight wildfires.
