Firefighters, helicopters and heavy equipment are currently responding to numerous wildfire starts in the south and southwest parts of the Edson Forest Area. Several storm cells are moving through these areas with associated lightning, winds and rain. No communities are at risk.
Wildfire of note is EWF-65 estimated to be approximately 10 hectares burning inside a log deck. Visit wildfirestatus.alberta.ca or the Alberta Wildfire app to keep current.
Wildfire danger remains VERY HIGH across the Edson Forest Area (EFA).
Scattered showers and lightning are in the forecast today but the danger rating remains until enough rain is on the ground. Always use caution when burning. Be prepared and ensure your fire is completely extinguished.

- Clear debris from hot spots on your Off-Highway Vehicle.
- Ensure your campfire is out - Soak it, Stir it, Soak it Again.
