CURRENT CONDITIONS IN THE CALGARY FOREST AREA
The average wildfire danger in the Calgary Forest Area (CFA) is MODERATE. Fall conditions have now set in with much cooler nights and more seasonal day time temperatures. Many stations also logged rain, with some reporting up to 5 cm of snow.
A FIRE ADVISORY in effect for the Calgary Forest Area. Fire permits are only being issued on a case-by-case basis and remain limited particularly in southern portions of the CFA.
The FIRE BAN that was in effect in is now lifted. Thank you for your cooperation during the timeframe of extreme wildfire danger.
WILDFIRES IN THE CFA
There are currently no active wildfires in the CFA.
Since January 1, the CFA has responded to 161 wildfires which burned a total of 13.78 hectares.

The wildfire dashboard provides up-to-date wildfire information at the click of a button. This interactive tool displays important statistics on the number of active wildfires in the Forest Protection Area of Alberta, sizes, locations, suspected causes and more.
The dashboard builds on the former wildfire status map by displaying the most frequently accessed information in one convenient location.
