The wildfire danger across the Calgary Forest Area (CFA) is now LOW. Colder temperatures, accompanied with rain and snow, have begun to set in. Although warmer temperatures are expected again by the weekend, these current conditions will help to drop the wildfire danger in the short term.
FIRE ADVISORY LIFTED
With the current downtrend in weather, the FIRE ADVISORY that had been in place in the CFA has been lifted. Fire permits are still required until November 1, and can be requested online or by calling (403) 297-8800.

WILDFIRES IN THE CFA
There are currently no active wildfires in the CFA.
CWF-087 was extinguished on October 19 at 0.02 hectares.
Since January 1, the CFA has responded to 87 wildfires which have burned 64.60 hectares.
JOIN THE 2025 WILDFIRE TEAM
Positions are now open for the 2025 wildfire season. The deadline for applications to become a wildland firefighter is November 30.
