ACTIVE WILDFIRE IN CFA

The active wildfire in the Panther area is classified as out of control and the estimated size remains 500 hectares. Alberta Wildfire is working in conjunction with Parks Canada to control this wildfire. Between the two agencies, there were 26 personnel on site with 4 helicopters. The personnel on site include resources dedicated to deploying sprinklers on any infrastructure (such as cabins and outfitters camps) in the wildfire area. Additional resources will be deployed as necessary over the coming days. Incoming cooler temperatures and precipitation this weekend are expected to help suppression efforts.
