Although the average wildfire danger across the Calgary Forest Area (CFA) remains MODERATE there are now many areas of HIGH to VERY HIGH, particularly in the central regions of the forest area. A lack of precipitation in these areas has led to very dry surface fuels, such as grass, which can easily ignite and sustain a fast moving wildfire. The forecast is calling for more warm and dry conditions over the week with a very low likelihood of precipitation.
