Precipitation has finally begun to fall across the Calgary Forest Area (CFA) dropping the wildfire danger to LOW in the short term. The current precipitation amounts have helped to knock down the risk in some of the finer fuels, but more will be required to help with the heavier fuels after the recent prolonged period of dry conditions.

Although a downtrend in weather is now happening across much of the province, there are still an extreme number of wildfires burning in central and northern Alberta.  The Fire Restriction remains in place for the time being.
