CURRENT CONDITIONS IN THE CALGARY FOREST AREA
The average wildfire danger rating over the Calgary Forest Area is HIGH. Any areas which have not received any precipitation are of particular risk. The wildfire danger in these areas remains high to very high as the grass has cured and larger plants and trees are drying out. The wildfire danger over the next several weeks will be very dependent on the amount and location of precipitation.
Due to continuing warm and dry conditions conditions and strong, gusty winds the FIRE ADVISORY remains in effect for the Calgary Forest Area. Under this FIRE ADVISORY all fire permits are suspended and no new permits will be issued until conditions improve.
