CURRENT CONDITIONS IN THE CALGARY FOREST AREA
Extreme conditions persist in the Calgary Forest Area (CFA). Although a few small storm cells developed over the past week, they did not give enough precipitation to reduce the fire danger. The conditions in the south of the CFA are EXTREME. If a wildfire ignites in these conditions, it has the potential to spread very quickly and exhibit extreme fire behaviour. The fire danger in the northern sections of the CFA remains VERY HIGH.
