CURRENT CONDITIONS IN THE CALGARY FOREST AREA
Over the past 24-48 hours, the Calgary Forest Area (CFA) has received widespread rain across the area. This wide band of precipitation has dropped the fire danger to LOW.
FIRE BAN LIFTED
With the heavy rainfall across the CFA, the Fire Ban which was in place has been lifted. There are no further restrictions in the CFA and we are once again issuing fire permits. Please call (403) 297-8800 to request a fire permit.
Campfires are allowed in campgrounds as well as in backcountry/random camping areas. Fireworks and exploding targets remain prohibited.
Thank you for your cooperation and patience during the Fire Restriction and Fire Ban.
