WILDFIRE UPDATE 3:45pm - 06/17/18
There have been 51 wildfires in the Peace River Forest area this fire season. There are currently two active wildfires both are classified as Under Control.
- PWF 34 is located west of the Hamburg area and is now under control at 1,168.00 hectares in size.
- PWF 47 is located 20 kms west of Hotchkiss and is now under control at 3,992 hectares in size.
For your safety and the safety our firefighters, please stay clear of wildfire operations especially when aircraft are flying in the area. We appreciate your support.

Remember to never leave your campfire unattended and make sure to properly put it out by soaking it, stirring it and soaking it again. Learn more here.
If using an off-highway vehicle, stop regularly to check your vehicle for build-up of grass, branches and other debris. This material can catch fire and drop from your vehicle as you drive and cause a wildfire.
