Wildfire Update - July 22, 2020
The wildfire danger rating for the Rocky Mountain House Forest Area is LOW to MODERATE, with the possibility that danger levels will increase early next week with dryer weather. There are currently no wildfires burning in the area.
Since March 1, there have been 33 wildfires in the Rocky Mountain House Forest Area, burning 14.34 hectares. All of these wildfires have been extinguished.
Since March 1 in the Forest Protection Area of Alberta, there have been 383 wildfires burning a total of 741.37 hectares.

Fire permit
In the Forest Protection Area of Alberta, a fire permit is required for all types of burning, except for a cooking or warming fire. Please note that fire permits may not be issued as usual under a fire advisory. To request your free fire permit call your local Alberta Agriculture and Forestry Office.
