The wildfire danger in the Rocky Mountain House Forest Area is VERY HIGH.
FIRE ADVISORY
A fire advisory is now in effect for the Rocky Mountain House Forest Area. Due to warmer weather and high winds we encourage anyone burning to take extra caution. Fire permits are still valid but be extra careful and follow the conditions outlined on the permit.

WILDFIRE SITUATION UPDATE
There is currently one wildfire in the Rocky Mountain House Forest Area. It is under control. Since March 1, there have been 29 wildfires in the Rocky Mountain House Forest Area, burning a total of 60.44 hectares.
PROVINCIAL UPDATE
There are currently 13 wildfires in the Forest Protection Area (FPA) of Alberta. One of these wildfires is being held, seven are under control and five have been turned over to the responsible party.
Since March 1 there have been 295 wildfires in the FPA, burning a total of 919.84 ha.
