The wildfire danger rating in the Lac La Biche Forest Area is LOW due to cooler temperatures. Dry grass continues to be a hazard in the area.

WILDFIRE UPDATE

There are currently six wildfires in the Lac La Biche Forest Area. All of these wildfires are under control. 

Since March 1, there have been 42 wildfires in the Lac La Biche Forest Area, burning a total of 14.73 ha.  

PROVINCIAL WILDFIRE UPDATE

Since March 1 in the Forest Protection Area, there have been 158 wildfires, burning a total of 189.68 ha.

FIRE ADVISORY LIFTED

The fire advisory has been lifted in the Lac La Biche Forest Area. Fire permits will be issued on a case-by-case basis. Please be advised no new fire permits will be issued for non-essential heavy burning (windrows, machine piled brush piles, etc…) at this time.

To get a fire permit please call the Lac La Biche Forest Office at 780-623-5388.
