Sparks & friction from operating equipment or hot exhaust can all produce enough heat to dry out caught-up debris. These hot fuels then drop off and smolder; ready to ignite into a wildfire. When operating equipment clear debris from moving parts. Always check your muffler and keep equipment in good repair. Do not operate equipment in tall grass and keep watch of your surroundings and ensure you have sufficient firefighting equipment and water available.
