Wildfire Situation 

At this time, there are two active wildfire in the Grande Prairie Forest Area. Both wildfires are listed as Under Control (UC). Since March 1, 2021 there have been 97 wildfires burning nearly 132 hectares in the Grande Prairie Forest Area. Fire Permits 

From March 1st  until October 31st, fire permits are required for any burning except campfires in the Forest Protection Area (FPA). If you live within the FPA, please contact your local forestry office. Anyone living outside the FPA can contact their municipality for information about local fire permit requirements.
