GRANDE PRAIRIE FOREST AREA WILDFIRE UPDATE | October 16, 2020 at 2:00 P.M.

Since March 1, there have been 47 wildfires in the Grande Prairie  Forest Area, burning a total of 46 hectares. Check out the current wildfire situation across Alberta. Please visit AlbertaFireBans.ca before you go hunting or recreating. During the fall season, dry fuels such as grass can ignite quickly into a wildfire when campfires aren't properly extinguished. If you have a campfire remember to soak it with water, stir it and soak it again. The fire isn't out until it is cool to the touch.
