The wildfire danger rating is LOW but there is still a risk of human-caused wildfire. If you are heading out into forested areas remember that small warming and cooking fires that are not properly extinguished can burn deep into the ground over the winter months and emerge in the spring as a wildfire. To properly extinguish a fire, completely soak the area with water, stir up the ashes and soak the area again.
