The wildfire danger continues to climb this week as the forecast calls for hot temperatures and little precipitation. Be advised that fine fuels are drying quickly and any spark, hot exhaust or friction can easily start a wildfire.
Ensure you fully extinguish your campfire and never leave it unattended. If you suspect a wildfire, call 310-FIRE.
For the safety and security of the public and our staff, we ask that individuals keep a respectful distance from our facilities. Please do not approach lookout towers and firebases.
Alberta Wildfire airtankers were based in Edson last week while the wildfire danger was climbing.
