Shawna Lund will be taking over as Information Officer until further notice.

Slave Lake Forest Area Forecast

The forecast for tomorrow is calling for cool temperatures and the possibility of rain.  Winds are expected to be from the northeast at 25 km/hour gusting to 45 km/hr.  Even though we have received some moisture, a significant amount of rain is needed to reduce the wildfire hazard.

The fire ban will be in place until further notice. Throughout the province, multiple wildfires continue to burn out of control, and your co-operation with the fire ban will not only help to reduce the number of new wildfires we need to contend with, but also prevent the unnecessary dispatching of our resources to your burn site.
