Fireworks

If you live in the Forest Protection Area you must call local ESRD office to request a fire permit for fireworks. An ESRD patrolman will meet with the landowner on the site, inspect the site and talk with landowner about his/her plan to burn.  If plan and site meets Alberta Fire Code then the fire permit will be issued.
Fire Permits

All fire permit holders are reminded to check the weather and your permit conditions. If you cannot meet the conditions on your permit, do not ignite new burns and extinguish those already burning.

From March 1 to October 31, Albertans in the forested areas need to get a FIRE PERMIT for any burning, excluding campfires. To request your free fire permit call your local Environment and Sustainable Resource Development Office.
