For today, the overall wildfire hazard remains VERY HIGH for the Slave Lake Wildfire Management Area. The rain received last night has brought some relief from the wildfire hazard to areas around the south and east end of Lesser Slave Lake.

The forests are dry and a fire will spread very quickly under windy conditions. Use extreme caution while out enjoying our forests and report wildfires immediately by calling 310-FIRE (3473).
