Slave Lake Area Update

Fire Advisory has been lifted for the Slave Lake Wildfire Management Area.

With lighter winds in the forecast, the Slave Lake Wildfire Management Area (SLWMA) has lifted the Fire Advisory as of 2:00 pm today Monday April 13, 2015. The wildfire hazard in the Slave Lake Wildfire Management Area remains HIGH. Areas of dead grass are flammable and fire will spread very quickly. Use caution in areas of dead dry grass.

Fire Permits

The fire permit suspension has been lifted and new fire permits are being issued. However permits will not be issued for large brush piles or large areas of dead grass. All permit holders must follow the permit conditions. To request your fire permit call your local Environment and Sustainable Resource Development Office 310-ESRD (3773).
