Rocky Wildfire Management Area Situation
There are currently two under control wildfires in the Rocky wildfire management area.
Provincial Situation
There are currently 39 fires burning in Alberta; 4 are Out of Control, 12 are Being Held, 22 are Under Control, and 1 has been turned over to the responsible party.
The Department of Agriculture and Forestry currently has:
1436 firefighters, 99 helicopters and 27 airtankers pre-positioned or actioning wildfires in the province
310 firefighters imported from out of province.
Due to the hard work of firefighters and cooler wet weather we’ve seen over the last few days, the fire ban for much of the province has been removed.There is a fire restriction in place for the north and east parts of the province. Visit www.albertafirebans.ca for information.
