Wildfire Hazard
Over the past 24 hours, the much of the the Rocky Wildfire Management Area has received moisture, as well as snow, which has brought relief to the wildfire hazard.

Due to the change in conditions the Fire Advisory has been removed for the Rocky Wildfire Management Area. Fire Permits are now being issued.

Please check www.albertafirebans.ca for fire advisories, restrictions and bans.

Fire Permits
All fire permit holders are reminded to check the weather and your permit conditions. If you cannot meet the conditions on your permit, do not ignite new burns and extinguish those already burning.

From March 1 to October 31, Albertans in the forested areas need to get a FIRE PERMIT for any burning, excluding campfires. To request your free fire permit call your local Environment and Sustainable Resource Development Office.
