Due to the HIGH WILDFIRE HAZARD CONDITIONS, a Fire Advisory is in effect for the Rocky Wildfire Management Area.  Conditions in the forest are dry, and the grass is very flammable and under windy conditions a fire will spread very quickly. Residents and visitors are urged to be extra cautious and postpone any burning until the winds are calm.  When out enjoying the May long weekend, do not leave campfires unattended and be sure your fire is properly extinguished before you leave. Report wildfires immediately by calling 310-FIRE (3473).

FIRE PERMITS - Due to dry and windy conditions, fire permits have been suspended and no new permits will be issued until conditions allow.
Safe campfires are currently allowed, but may be restricted in the coming days if conditions worsen.
Please call the local ESRD office 403-845-8250
