Despite recent precipitation, areas of exposed, cured grass continue to pose a significant wildfire risk. As a result, a Fire Advisory is in effect for the Rocky Forest Area section of the Forest Protection Area (FPA):

Existing Fire Permit remain valid and permit holders have been contacted to ensure they burn within the conditions of their permit.

New fire permits will not be issued.

Safe campfires are allowed.

Check Albertafirebans.ca as there are Fire Advisories, Fire Restrictions and Fire Bans thoughout southern Alberta.

Albertans are asked to use caution when recreating within the FPA:
 - Clear debris from hot spots on your Off-Highway Vehicle.
 - Ensure your campfire is out - Soak it, Stir it, Soak it Again.
