The Wildfire Hazard for the Rocky Wildfire Management Area remains High. Cooler Temperatures and Higher Relative Humidities have given some relief to the Wildfire Hazard. Thundershowers in the area today provided some much needed precipitation but also brought accompanying lightning.
As a result the Rocky Wildfire Management Area had 7 new Wildfire starts today! All Wildfires in the Rocky Wildfire Managment Area at this time are Being Held (BH) or Under Control (UC).
The Forest Protection Area within Alberta remains under a Fire Ban. Many neighbouring Municipalities and Counties are also under Fire Bans. For more information please refer to www.albertafirebans.ca.
