The wildfire danger in the Rocky Mountain House Forest Area is now HIGH. Use caution in the forested areas if you are doing any burning or having a campfire.
WILDFIRE SITUATION UPDATE
There are currently five wildfires in the Rocky Mountain House Forest Area. One of these wildfires is being held and four are under control. Since March 1, there have been 39 wildfires in the Rocky Mountain House Forest Area, burning a total of 70.19 hectares.
PROVINCIAL UPDATE
There are currently 20 wildfires in the Forest Protection Area (FPA) of Alberta. One of these wildfires is being held, 12 are under control and seven have been turned over to the responsible party.
Since March 1 there have been 424 wildfires in the FPA, burning a total of 1006.95 ha.
