PRESCRIBED FIRE
The Chungo prescribed fire is completed and the Chungo Gap is now open to the public again. Please avoid any areas that have been freshly burned as the roots of some trees have been burned and may no longer be stable. As a result, burned trees could fall over without warning, which poses a hazard to anyone in the nearby vicinity.
Alberta Wildfire will continue to monitor the area for smoke and/or fire activity over the next couple weeks.
