WILDFIRE UPDATE
The fire advisory for the Rocky Mountain House Forest Area is no longer in effect.
There are currently three wildfires in the Rocky Mountain House Forest Area, which have burned 0.22 hectares. One of these fires is under control and the other two have been turned over to the responsible party.
PROVINCIAL UPDATE
There are currently ten wildfires in the Forest Protection Area (FPA) of Alberta. Four of these wildfires are under control, including one from the 2020 wildfire season. It is located in the Calgary Forest Area at 2,420 ha. The other six wildfires have been turned over to the responsible party.
Since March 1 there have been 40 wildfires in the FPA, burning a total of 36.49 ha. The five-year average for this time period is 41 wildfires burning 74.82 ha.
