The fire advisory in the Rocky Wildfire Management Area (RWMA) remains in effect. 

Safe campfires are permitted in campgrounds and backcountry or random camping areas. For more information check www.albertafirebans.ca.

Fire Permits
Due to the high fire hazard all fire permits are suspended and no new fire permits are being issued. Albertans are encouraged to check the status of the fire advisory by checking www.albertafirebans.ca

The Hummingbird prescribed fire has been postponed until more favorable weather conditions.The area is now open for public use.

Hazard reduction burning, pending favourable weather conditions, may be be carried out in the Medicine Lake, Jackfish Lake, Saunders, Batus Creek, Wildhorse Creek, Brazeau Dam as well as along highway 752 west of Cow Lake and along 734 south of Nordegg.
