The wildfire danger in the Peace River Forest Area is MODERATE - HIGH.
ACTIVE WILDFIRE - ASSISTANCE ENDED
PMD-001: Alberta Wildfire has ended assistance with the MD of Fairview on this mutual aid wildfire.
WILDFIRE UPDATE
Since March 1, there have been 15 wildfires burning a total of 7.5 hectares. One of these wildfires has been turned over to the responsible party and 14 have been extinguished.
PROVINCIAL WILDFIRE UPDATE
There are currently 14 wildfires in the Forest Protection Area (FPA) of Alberta. Nine of these wildfires are under control and five have been turned over to the responsible party.
Since March 1st, there have been 273 wildfires in the FPA, burning a total of 901.27 ha.

FIRE PERMIT
During wildfire season, you are required to have a fire permit if you plan on doing any burning in the Forest Protection Area, other than a campfire.
We urge everyone to use caution when working and recreating outdoors. Never leave your campfire unattended. Before leaving, be sure to soak your campfire, stir it and soak it again.
