Wildfire Danger LOW - Lac La Biche Forest Area - July 19, 2018

The wildfire danger will be LOW tomorrow for the Lac La Biche Forest Area. 

Temperatures in the Lac La Biche Forest Area will be around 20 degrees tomorrow. There will be winds out the east at 20km/h and a chance of more rain.


Update - LWF-099 EXTINGUISHED

There were no new wildfire starts today.

Currently there is only one under control wildfire in the Lac La Biche Forest Area. Crews were busy extinguishing fires today including LWF-099, which was part of the Rock Island Complex that started May 21. Progress continues as crews continue to mop up the remaining fire, LWF-119, which is the only under control fire left in the Lac La Biche Forest Area.


Provincial Update:

  • Since March 1, 2018, Alberta has recorded 953 wildfires in the Forest Protection Area burning a total of 45,910.15 hectares.
