Wildfire Danger LOW - Lac La Biche Forest Area - July 31, 2018

The wildfire danger remain LOW for tomorrow in the Lac La Biche Forest Area. 

Temperatures in the Lac La Biche Forest Area will be around 26 degrees tomorrow with Southwest winds at 15km changing to Southeast 15-20km. 


Lac La Biche Forest Area Update:

  • There were no new wildfires today.
  • Since March 1, 2018, there have been 188 wildfires that have burnt a total of 16,336.43 hectares.

Provincial Update:

  • There have been 6 wildfires recorded in the Forest Protection Area of Alberta since 10:00am yesterday. One of these wildfires is under control, one has been turned over to the responsible party and four have been extinguished. 
  • Since March 1, 2018, Alberta has recorded 1013 wildfires in the Forest Protection Area burning a total of 49,881.26 hectares.
