Wildfire Danger LOW - Lac La Biche Forest Area - July 29, 2018

The wildfire danger will be mainly LOW tomorrow for the Lac La Biche Forest Area. 

Temperatures in the Lac La Biche Forest Area will be around 26 degrees tomorrow with Northeast winds at 15km. There is a strong chance of thundershowers in the afternoon. 


Lac La Biche Forest Area Update:

  • There were three new wildfires today. Two are being held at 0.01 hectares and one has been extinguished.
  • There is still one under control wildfire that started on May 23. This wildfire is 5,400 hectares in size.
  • Since March 1, 2018, there have been 186 wildfires that have burnt a total of 16,336.41 hectares.

Provincial Update:

  • Since March 1, 2018, Alberta has recorded 992 wildfires in the Forest Protection Area burning a total of 46,651.30 hectares.
