The wildfire hazard continues to be VERY HIGH for the Lac La Biche forest area.

The forecast for tomorrow is for a high of 25, with low humidity at 20% and light winds.  There is no precipitation in the forecast until later in the week.  The risk of wildfire always increases when humidity is lower than temperature, as is the case for tomorrow.

Be careful in the forest tomorrow.  Dry grass, or grass that has not turned green yet, will be succeptible to widlfire, particularly in the afternoon and into the evening.  Be mindful if you're riding quads in dry grass tomorrow.

We have 17 crews, 12 helicopters, the air tankers, several dozer groups and water trucks distributed across the area to action any new fires tomorrow.

We didn't have any new wildfires today.  So far this season we've had 46 wildfires.

Thanks for doing your part to prevent wildfire.
