The wildfire hazard has climbed to VERY HIGH for Wednesday.

The forecast is for a high of 26 degrees, humidity of 25%, winds at SE 20 km/hr, and no precipitation.  Tomorrow is going to be a very good drying day for the forest, and we expect the hazard to be even higher on Thursday.  There is some relief in the form of precipitation in the forecast for the weekend.

Never burn when winds are stronger than 15 km/hr.  Tomorrow's winds are forecast to be stronger than that, so please restrict your burning until it's safe to do so.

We had one new wildfire today, which has been extinguished.

We have 14 crews, 5 helicopters, the airtankers, and one heavy equipment group on hand to handle any wildfires tomorrow.

Thanks for doing your part to prevent wildfire.
