After one day at LOW hazard, conditions are pushing the wildfire hazard up to MODERATE for tomorrow and higher over the course of the week.

Tomorrow's forecast is for a high of 24 degrees, humidity of 25%, light winds and low chance of lighting.  There is rain in the forecast for next weekend, but this week could be hot and dry.

We didn't have any new wildfires today. So far this season we've had 49 wildfires.

Remember that you need a permit for any burning, excluding a campfire.  Fire permits are free and available through your local Agriculture & Forestry office.  A patrolman will visit your burn site and issue the permit.  Conditions for a safe burn are listed on the back of the permit.

Thanks for doing your part to prevent wildfires.
