Wildfire Hazard Update - Lac La Biche Area July 29, 2017

The overall wildfire hazard for the Lac La Biche Forest Area will be HIGH for July 30th.  Click here to view the wildfire hazard map.

On Sunday afternoon the forecast is calling for strong gusty winds. As a cold front moves into the area the winds will shift from the southeast 20 kilometres per hour to west 20 kilometres gusting up to 40. There is a chance the area may receive some rain.

Use caution and report wildfires immediately by calling 310-FIRE (3473)

There have been no new wildfires since July 22nd.

Since March 1st, the Lac La Biche Area has recorded 54 wildfires, burning a total area of 105.71 hectares.

Please do your part to prevent wildfire. Make sure your campfires are extinguished before you leave them.
