The wildfire hazard has dropped to LOW for the Lac La Biche forest area.

Recent as well as anticipated precipitation have reduced the threat from wildfire in this area.  We expect this downturn to last for a couple of days as the unsettled weather remains in the area.

All areas of the Province did not receive precipitation, and the fire ban and quad restriction in the south remain in place.  Check albertafirebans.ca for up to date information about where you can and cannot have a campfire.

Even though the hazard is low, you still need a permit for any burning except a campfire.  Permits are free and are available through your local Agriculture and Forestry office.

We have three crews on hand to fight any new wildfires tomorrow.  We didn't' have any new wildfire today.

Thanks for doing your part to prevent wildfire.
