The wildfire hazard has dropped to LOW for Monday.
The forecast for Monday is for a high of 21 degrees, humidity of 55%, moderate to high chance of lighting that should be accompanied by some precipitation, and winds at NW 15. The cooler temperatures and higher humidity are expected to linger in the area for a couple of days as the disturbance passes through the Province.
We didn't have any new fires today. So far this season we've had 52 wildfires.
We have 8 crews, three helicopters and the airtankers on hand to action any new fires tomorrow. We have exported resources to British Columbia as well as the Yukon to help with fires in those areas.
Thanks for doing your part to prevent wildfire.
Your next update will be issued on Thursday, or if conditions change in the meantime.
